Mend Hoover Freespace Evo Vacuum Cleaner Problem

Vacuum cleaner problem?

I just took the cover off my Hoover Freespace Evo vacuum cleaner, as the retractable cord wasn't working. When I put the cover back it was no longer sucking air in and it was blowing strongly out the side vent. How do I fix this?

Take the cover off and look to see where the air might be getting in and how the air might be getting out.

Nobody here can see how you might have made an error - only you can work it out -but pay particular attention to the seal between the parts you disturbed.

Air is getting in where it should not be.
