The door of my Hotpoint wt540 is locked shut.
How can I open it manually?

Hotpoint Hotpoint WT540 Household Appliances, Washing Machines Door Hotpoint Shut

only thing you can do is break the lock from inside then replace it turn power off before you remove the top of the machine,
