How do i open the door on my hotpoint wma 30 as it has jamed shut?

disconnect from power-remove lid- push the drum assembly as far back as possible and wedge in place-squeeze hand down inside right hand of case and when you feel the catch poking through the door thermal lock push it to the right to release it. If no luck you can snap off the plastic lock by forcefully bending it. This will of course have to be replaced by undoing the 2 screws in front panel, removing the wire clip securing seal to front panel, gently peeling it back, and pull lock out. Get a new lock first and transfer the 3 wires over one for one. wet seeeal to ease replacement.
