Mend Renault Kangoo Van

What could be wrong with my Renault Kangoo Van?

What could be wrong with my Renault Kangoo Van. It is a 2003 1.5 engine. The engine turns over but it won't start, the engine management light is flashing red. Does anyone have any ideas?
