I've said nowt but I'm out too.

I can say you give no mention of a lit power led that should be lit at all times.

If the battery's buggered the power light goes out and she beeps every 30sec or so.

do you have the right engineering code?coz when we fit panels we change the factory code to our own as do all us pro guys

scantronic panels are known for two things,their reliability,and ease of programming your panel is 20 years old,i have one 32 years old,still working fine customer wanted it replaced coz it not fit with her décor,!! go figure

the engineering book is very expl mate if you follow it you cant go wrong, follow it to the letter,but do not try to fix ur system with duff batteries in place I have fitted over a thousand of these units and most of them are still going strong

enter prog mode key in 98 enter the panel will load factory defaults then reprogramme it to your needs

I am sorry to to appear a bit daft but I am unable to enter a programming mode and get all the panel ied's to flash either by using the installation guide default code or the engineers code that I have - how else can I clear the panel from day mode/tamper/walk test / bleep bleep audio
I have the stencil but am unable to proceed until I can clear the panel and get all the panel led's flashing
sorry to be a pain but I am at a loss
I really do appreciate every ones help

how do you know the battery is ok?how did you test it,?replace all the batteries mate,no point in suspecting they need replaced do it,the panel monitors the batteries in ALL sensors if they not good you will get a warning,if the remote sensor battery is buggered you need to replace it and solder it in place do you have the engineering manual ? you cant test the battery with a meter,we use a special unit called an act meter,this puts a dummy load on the battery

this is a system removed from my brothers house some 4 years ago- it is a control panel, 2 pir's-an external bell box-a door contact transmitter and a hand held trigger, I have now set this system up including pir's and bell box wiring although I suspect some of the batteries need replacing - the control panel back up battery is alright, I have the enginers code and the system set code, the zone dills are set on but the panel shows day mode, tamper alarm and walk test which is also accompanied by a intermittent bleep bleep, I have tried entering all the codes with no joy the panel remains the same HELP I have found the programming stencil and the installation guide

do you have the stencil? this is layed over the keypad to prog the system if you not got then your on to plums me old son the dils must be set to the pirs,door contacts vibes sensors,and bell box must be con to the panel before it will let you do anything to it,your not dealing with rubbish here mate,it may be an old girl,but its great panel ,I gave one away a while ago ,nice new unit,hope you can find the stencil somewhere
