Mend Rover Engine Drive Key

a green light stays on after i turn the engine of and take the key out ?

after i drive a it the engine management light comes on turn key on and of it goes of,also it all started this morning got about 200 yards and smoke started to fill the car from both footwell of car,the srs light wont go of now either car model is rover 600
