Mend Pfaff 1469 Foot Problem Slow

Pressure Foot problem on Pfaff 1469?

The pressure foot on my Pfaff 1469 will not go down and grip material. It doesn't 'snap' down but goes in slow motion and doesn't grip material as it should. My little grand daughter played with the buttons when my back was turned but the machine was switched off at the time so I can't really believe this was the cause. Can anyone help please. Would be VERY grateful.

i can only gues that the problem may be just a drop of oil needed at moving parts of pressure foot lever where you can reach it , also possible broken spring but that does not happen often
