How can I fix my S.G.R K123 Steam Iron station. ?

On initial ironing start up the iron spits out dirty brown water. This I usually overcome by ironing a piece of used material before starting on the main ironing. However the iron can spit out the dirty water at any stage during the ironing precess. Its driving me daft and any advice would be much appreciated.
