my russell hobbs 2400w freedom cordless iron model No 23300 is spewing out black bits how can this be sorted ?

It sounds like it may be full of limescale and the iron is now spitting that out because it is blocked. You could try using a descaler product, but in my experience appliances like irons or kettles often develop leaks after you have descaled them. So it is a gamble. Try descaling to avoid replacing, but you may have to replace in the end anyway.
