Mend AEG 50750 Dishwasher Turn Finished

Why does AEG Favorit dishwasher 50750 not turn off?

AEG Favorit 50750 continues to rum after cycle is finished. Light on End Programme is flashing. Not sure how long this goes on for as I run dishwasher overnight. Having set programme to start at 1.30 am, the dishwasher was still pumping/whirring at 7.30 am. Is there a faulty part that can be replaced?

I should have mentioned that the dishes were clean and dry but the machine was cold inside which would indicate that it had gone through the complete cycle and then not switched off.

Would be grateful for any replies.
