Marie, I would first check that the thing didn't pop your tripswitch. Plug a lamp into the wall socket and make sure the electric is there. Could be a faulty drain pump, but it should at least try to drain and then go into a fault condition - lights flashing strangely or fault code flashing on the display. If it doesnt turn on at all - or just flashes "OFF" and then does nothing, it could be that water has collected in the base plate. You are going to have to scoop as much water out of it as you can. I have to lie my particular dishwasher on it's back and undo 6 screws on the base-plate - 3 in front and three on the back - it's easier to tilt it forward first and get the back 3 screws out, then lie it on it's back and take out the other three. Once the base plate is loose, be carful when taking it off as there are 2 wires plugged onto a float switch. If there was water in the base plate, it will have poured out onto the floor by now, so just towel dry the base plate and make sure that the polystryrene float thingy is loose and that it operates the switch as you lift it up and down. Just re-assemble the thing and it should work fine. On some poor quality machines - and yes, Indesit is poor quality, I know, I have thier dishwasher and washer/drier, 3 years old, both bought simultaneously and both broke within one day of each other - water leaks into the base pan if you open the door during a cycle to put more things in. Try keeping the door tightly shut for the whole cycle and this may solve a problem of water dripping into gubbins underneath. Best of luck, Mitch.
