I have a BFD46W dishwasher. It has started stopping part way thru the cycle.
So I have to turn it one click to make it start again .I have to do this 3 times during the cycle before it will finish.
I can feel not heat in the machine during or when it has finished.
Is it feasible that the heating element no longer works and it is waiting, in the cycle, for the water to get up to temperature?
I have a BFD46W slimline dishwasher, the problem is
the wash cycle never gets to finish. The timer is moving three quarters of the way round the programme then stops, any ideas?

I have exactly the same problem with my 46w, i've changed the timer unit but it still had the same problem, I am going to try the thermostat next as although the water in the machine is warm it's not as hot as I would expect it to be

you have answered your own question really.machines do wait for heat to get to temp b4 they advance through programs.checking the element would be a good start and possibly a thermostat faulty
