In drink, min means max, but max means min,but acid or gel minimum requirement......... Sod it your right :),

Could be a mains interruption/fail,or a duff battery,

Have you tried the reset button?.

Unfortunately for the user these backup batteries don't last for ever and should be changed regulary,(five years minimum).

How old is yours?.
