I have a vivaro 04 1.9 start it up from cold runs great till it gets warm 2000 revs or below still runs ok go between 2000 &2500 revs seems to hold back get above then its ok again ive been told its the diesel pump £1200 to fix dose this seem to be the problem lot of money to splash out if it dose not fix it anyone had same problem ?
My vauxhall combo 17 di 2004 ,it is holding back and the tappets are loud it runs like a dog i did cook engine and had it re-built it was ok when i got it back about a year ago but now it runs like a dog cheers

can the person who told you it was the pump explain why that is the fault,is it his/her money that will pay for a new pump?If he/she is guessing then it may be an expensive one at that,I take it no management lights are on and it has been on a code reader,all filters are clean and up to date,no split intercooler hoses,play in the turbo impeller,before a new pump is fitted there are loads of checks I would do before going down that route.
