Mend Hoover 550mb Water Filling Cycle

Hoover 550mb - drains as it fills?

My hoover 500 mb just drains the water as it starts the filling part of the cycle.

Is the drain pump running? If not then it will be syphoning itself out. Make sure drain hose comes up as high as the top deck before going back down to drain. If drain hose goes in to a narrow standpipe make sure it is not pushed too far down. Allow air to get in to break the suction.
