re setting code on mieli w842 washing machine?

Without seeing it in operation difficult to diagnose this particular problem but I have experienced similar fault caused by one of the cold inlet valves being slow to fill, as it does not reach the required water level in the allotted time it aborts the program and puts up the water inlet light, missing out the spin and leaving the drum partially full. Knowing how expensive Miele parts are I would run prog and listen to the valves as they fill at different times in the prog and see if one sounds restricted or not letting so much water through if so replace cold water inlet valve probably a triple valve. Other long shot is drain hose too low and machine is syphoning out when it reaches the high water rinse level but most Mieles have anti syphon valve in them to stop this. Cheers

hi kenjo, yeah we are really struggling with this one, my wife tells me that the machine fills up to do main wash which it completes, empties drum, moves on to rinse but pumps out the water before it goes into the drum,at this point the check inlet light starts flashing, this also happens on the rinse programme and now it does not recognise drain and final spin and now water left in drum,we have had both inlet and outlet pipes checked and new pump fitted, hope this helps you further with this proplem and thank you, dave.

Not quite sure what you mean here, do you have a digital display with a fault code showing? More info reqd. Cheers
