Mend Hoover HNL6166-80 Washing Machine Blockage Drain

How to Fix my Hoover HNL6166-80 washing machine?

Starts cycle but at first water drain it stops and delay light swhich flashes. Even on Spin only cycle, Pump does not run at all. Drains freely when waste pipe is placed at floor level. Pump tested on an independent power supply and working ok with no blockages in the pipework. Push button delay setting switch seems to cycle and reset ok every time. A New Selector Switch 16P Settings was fitted recenly because the old one was worn and not setting the correct cycle time, this was the correct replacement part and the connections can only be installed in the correct sequence. Any suggestions on the cause please?

you will have to establish if the machine is getting mains at the pump when an emptying cycle is selected, set for drain and put a meter across the pump leads
you should then have full mains going down, if you have and the pump wont run when full of water the pump is worn and needs replacing, if no mains check the two green leads going back up to the module for breaks if they look ok the trouble is upstairs, check that all the push on connections are fully pushed home
