Mend Rover 25 1.4 Start Car

why wont it start?

i have a rover 25 1.4 a volvo hit the front of me not very hard and now my car is dead the main ignition lights come on but nothing else will work its just dead can you help me fix this problem

This happened to my son who have a peugeot 306 I found a cable harness had been pushed sideways and some of the connections were not good, unscrewed plug and re fitted all OK

there may be an inertia switch fitted that has been activated! not sure where it is fitted -may be in either footwell or under bonnet,will require top pressing down to reset.[check handbook]
