Mend Toro 56150 Replacing Model Thing

replacing a starter on a toro 8-32?

I need to replace the starter on a toro 8-32 Model #56150 is there any special thing that i have to do besides just removing the 2 bolts and reattaching the new starter. I change it the first time and it started once ok but then break the gear the 2nd time I tried to start it. The place I brought it from replace it and just trying to make sure I'm doing it right.
