Variator rattling on Yamaha jog r 50cc?

When my Yamaha Jog r 50cc hits a certain speed a rattling comes from the variator, this is really annoying, and I'm sure it also makes it slower, as usually I get 40mph on flat, but ever since I noticed it, it's been doing more around 30mph. How do I fix this?!
