Mend Yamaha Jog R Problem

Yamaha Jog starting problem!?

I have an 2003 Yamaha jog r and when i turn the key the dash dosent light up, the horn dosent work nor the lights or electric start but all of these work when the engine is running...I would love to get the electric start working as have broken ribs and just cant kickstart it even with a can of WD40 on it!

Hi,

You need to check the charge in your battery, and also check the wiring for breaks where possible. A flat battery will still complete a circuit, hence the bike will run if you kick start the bike, but it may not hold a charge.
