2002 yamaha jog won't start?

this model does not have an immobiliser. checked earth thats ok battery terminals ok . has been running fine with the new ignition barrel on it then one day nothing no power when you turn the key.
could it be a cdi fault?

Ok then you will need to check for a spark when kicking it over. Take plug out pop back in HT cap and rest end of plug on frame. Get someone to help you and see if plug sparks when you kick it over. It will be blue and bright. Try with new plug, this then puts to bed any ideas of plug being dodgy.

Hi Simon,
When you turn the ignition on there is no power to anything? Has it been running ok since your new barrel was fitted. Double check somethings not come loose. Are you absolutly sure the battery terminals are secure and tight? Check the earth wire is on frame nice and tight. Has this model got an immboilser?

Try that and come back.

checked the fuse near the battery and that is fine. wont start on the kick or electric. when i turn the ignition on there is no power going to the bike at all from the electrics. battery is new and fully charged. was working fine until all this cold weather now its dead.

have you checked the main fuse?near the battery and does it start off the kickstart as it should even if it had no battery on it,and are you pulling one of the brakes in when you try and start it?
