Mend Sears 917.273420 Belt Keeps Coming Off

belt keeps coming off in reverse?

i have a sears 22hp 42"deck with hydrostatic,that i put on a new drive belt thinking the old was bad.i bought this rider in august of 09 and has about 52 hours on it.when i go in reverse the new belt also pop off the rear pulley.any ideas.
