Can changing a rear tire mess with the transmission?

I fix my rear tire on my Lx172 mower and now have no gears working in transmission. HELP!

Hey I fixed it myself! Key thingie was not placed properly. Had a slight burr to it making it difficult to place from in front of the wheel. Thanks anyways!
