I have a Scantronic 9427 alarm system. It goes off without being set?

this happened to me last night, alarm was going off i tried to reset it but it did not respond to the code now the green light on the panel is off i had to disconnect the alarm upstairs as could not turn it off, had the battery changerd last year and a service

then there is a very good chance the standby battery in the control panel needs replacing ,so get yourself a battery,before you open the control unit,remove the fuse from the spur unit that feeds mains power to the panel,open the control panel remove old battery,fit new one ,remember to take care of polarity,red to red.black to blacl,close panel,then key in number to reset

I had it serviced approx 3-4 yr ago.

Apart from the power light (green) the tamper light is on (red)

what did the keypad say ??how long since you last got it serviced?if you want a response,then you need give us a clue
