gilera runner 125 when i press the starter button all i get is clicking?

it could be a flat battery or a dodgy starter motor or a bad connection on the stater lead all depending if its a series of clicks or just one click when you press the button
series =flat battery
one= indicates usually starter motor.wiring problem
the starter relay is under one of the rear side panels the two big terminals are the leads from the battery and to the starter motor you can try bridging them to see if the starter spins and you dont need the ignition on to do that.
