Mend Gilera Start Pump Replaced

My Gilera sp50 won't start?

Hi my Gilera sp50 2009 won't depart after rebuild,my water pump was leaking so I replaced the pump and done my car and bearing while it was apart,noticed some scoring on the piston so fitted a piston and barrel I had spare off an earlier 2006 engine no wont start.
Checked spark ok,appears that the fuel is not getting to the spark plug as after cranking plug is dry,tried putting fuel direct to the plug sounds like it's tiring to start but then dies off can any body help

try and take the air filter off and then block the back of the carb with the palm of your hand,then either try and start it off the button or kick start it,it shoul make your hand wet with fuel ,when it does take you hand off and try starting it again.if it runs quickly put the air filter back onto the carb.if it still cuts out the carb needs cleaning out.
