how the lock works on the back of my bike?

how dose the internal lock on the back of my peugeot streetfighter 2 100cc work ?? dose it clip on to somthing on the bike or is it suposed to come all the way out ?

the lock on the back on the speedfight comes out and stops on its own dosent come all the way out and you can ever put it round the weel or round a thin metal bar

You pull it out all the way and wrap it around a pole/lampost or the rear wheel then lock it to itself like a letter 'P'.
