cdrom not working?

my samsung sc-148 cdrom was working now it has stopped reading any cd how can i fix this

Try uninstalling the device via the Control Panel. Reboot your PC and let Windows find the device again. It will be reinstalled and may now work. (Worth a try if you haven't already done this.)
