how to fix samsung plasma tv?

my 50 inch plasma tv has started making a strange noise like gas escaping after its been on for a while. had it for 11 months trying to get comet to repair it but they are having none of it. going to trading standards as i expect it to last longer than that what it has done.

I'd try this question in the TV section (rather than computing) if I was you but in the meantime, what about the manufacturer's warranty? That is usually 12 months and so you shouldn't have a problem.
