How to remove a pir room sensor?

How can I remove a pir sensor in garage ready for buiding work to be done. The system is Texecom-Veritas R8 keypad.

Okay, you may well have got past the need for this, but I'll do my best - not a texecom engineer so don't hold this against me. The PIR will have 6 wires in it; 2 for alarm, 2 for tamper and 2 for power. When you take the PIR apart, you need to remove the wires, tape up the power lead separately so they don't touch, tape the tamper wire together to rebuild that circuit, and the two alarm wires to secure that circuit. Except if you do this whilst the panels on, the alarm will go off when you fremove the tamper wires. So you first need to switch off the panel, open it up and remove the battery leads. here's the manual instructions.
• If it is necessary to remove the lid, first switch off the
mains supply to the control panel. Ensure that the
Power light is flashing, then use a suitable mains test
instrument to confirm mains power is no longer present.
• Enter the 4 digit Engineer code ---- and press PROG to access the Programming Menu and disable
24 Hour zones via the Engineer code. All the zone lights
will illuminate.
• Remove the screw covers by inserting a screwdriver
into the screw cover slot and turning anti-clockwise
whilst applying pressure outwards.
• Unscrew the lid screws and remove the lid. Remove the battery leads
• On completion replace battery leads, then lid and secure with the lid screws - do not over-tighten.
• Replace the screw covers.
• Press . to leave the Programming Menu. All the
zone lights will turn off.
• Switch on the mains supply to the control panel. The
Power light will stop flashing and stay on continuously.

And if you don't feel confident to do this, call in a qualified engineer; possibly better than buggering the panel and having to replace it.
