I have an Accenta 8 alarm systems linked to 8 zones. When setting the alarm it constantly beeps and never sets. I have managed to trace the fault to zone one which according to the info on the panel covers 2 doors and one PIR. However I cannot be sure which sensor on each of these is the problem as I cannot set this zone.
I have tried to work it out from the chimes setting but when setting this zone the chime never sounds yet it does for the PIR's in the other zones.
Any ideas how I can check if I have a duff sensor ?
hi first of all having 3 sensors is not the reccomended way, however why don't you put chime on zone 1, short out the contacts on the sensors and see if the pir chimes when you walk past it?
The possible cause might be moisture ingress in the door contact on the outer door.
So take off the short on one of the contacts and try it again this way you can narrow it down to the faulty sensor/pir.
Of course it could also be a break in the wiring.
