from your experience what would you say.thanks

ps; i will respond to your replies. I know you have had id..ts on this site who never bother to reply to your answers which ruins it for the rest of us who genuinly need help.

any advice would be deeply appreciated thanks :)

and most good quality panels allow you to choose how long the sounder sounds

you dont say what panel you have, the law says the sounder must cut off after 15 mins, used to be twenty mins ,most good quality sounders have built in timers

meant to say I will fit a master blaster in the future. and I like the leds on the prima.

ps: my keyboard is getting old or maybe its just me :)

thanks I may look to install a master blaster. I will choose the prima I leds lol. I have just found that it is 118db which is good but apparently the unit does not have a cutoff timer. will this be an issue? I imagine the panel will have a timer to switch it off, but what about a powercut?. I do not see any connections on the pcb for a backup battery, other than the batt link.

cheers

if you really want a loud sounder, try a master blaster, its a 240 volt siren with a 12 volt trigger,it can be heard about two miles away, the prima is fine, had probs with the texecom before, the master blaster looks and sounds like an air raid siren, frightens the crap out of the crooks :-)
