Mend Hotpoint WF541 Washing Machine Fault Flashing Light

Flashing light on Hotpoint WF541?

Please can you tell me what the fault might be, machine has power light which wont switch off but wont start, when power is switched off at mains and the switched on again, the wash enhance light flashes. Many thanks
