my dryer does`nt work when i switch it on all you get is a whining noise and it wont turn!!!! help

hi phil, i had trouble with this had to strip the whole front off and even brake the solder on the top side of the machine(the right hand side above motor) just waiting for my new part(capacitor) then reasemble.

I have the same issue with my VHC391T. How do you get access to the motor?

sound like starting cap on motor not working. long round plastic thing with 2 wires.cheap and easy to replace. while machine is open check free movement of drum and motor also check drive belt and tensioner
