Mend Philips 32" Red Light Flashes Flashing

how do i fix my phillips 32" tv?

when you first go to turn it on the red light flashes and won't come on,if you leave the light flashing for a hour or two and then press the channel button it comes on.any ideas.

try powering it down over night by unplug it , over night , and try it in the morning,

if i were you i would check 2 things (there probley inside the tv)

1.power switch (standby button not plug)
2.power genorater

im no expert on t.v's but by the sounds of your problem that would probley be key
