Mend Simpson Enduro 751 Cycle Spin Direction

My Simpson Enduro 751,brake is engaged during wash cycle?

My Simpson Enduro 751 only spin in one direction and rides the bell and pulley on the way back in washing cycle. Suspecting that the brake does not release.... Please help

Simpson Simpson Enduro 751 Household Appliances, Washing Machines Cycle Spin Direction

Brake is not supposed to release during wash cycle, only on the spin cycle. If agitator only goes one way and seems to lock up on the reverse movement then I suspect the clutch spring has seized. Clutch will need to be removed, cleaned, inspected for damage.
