the washer will drain but does not spin

Remove the timer knob by pressing down hard with the palm of your hand & turning it anti clockwise to unscrew it. Underneath the knob is 2 screws holding the timer to the panel. Pull off all the wires. Screw new timer to panel then replace each wire on the correct terminal. Each wire has a letter next to the spade connector. Each terminal on the timer has the same letter next to it. The old timer was probably also colour coded to help. Use old timer & colour on terminal to help locate the terminal on the new timer.
