Kenmore 80 series extra capacity washer - no agitation or spin (fuse?)?

I have an 80 series top loading extra capacity plus washing machine from Kenmore. Model #110. I suspect a fuse is blown inside the machine.

My son was doing laundry (yeah...I know) and the last load was finished that evening. The next morning, I went to put the clothes in the dryer. The clothes were still very wet; a little pool of water collected in the bottom of the machine. He didn't leave the lid open; my first suspicion.

The washer will fill with water, but it won't agitate or spin.

I unplugged and plugged the washer back in; I plugged the washer into a different outlet (negative) and plugged a blowdryer into the washer's outlet (positive). I checked the circuit breaker, switched off and on the circuit; and no, the lid's switch prong is not broken. I stuck my finger in the lid-switch hole and, although it will click off and on (indicating an active switch), the washer will not work. The problem is not the lid-switch, or the circuit breaker. The washer is plugged into a working outlet.

I suspect that the washer has a blown fuse, but the timer continues to turn throughout the completion of the cycle. This fact may confirm or deny the fuse theory; depending on whether the timer is connected to the fuse.

If the problem points to the fuse, where can I find a replacement? How can I replace it?

If the fuse is not to blame (coupler?), where can I purchase that part, and how can I replace it?

What can I do to further diagnose the problem?
