how do i change drivers side cv shaft ,1990,golf?

drop the lower arm, remove the centre nut on the hub, draw the leg out to drop the drive shaft out/down, remove old gator and wipe grease away from back of cv joint then use sirclip pliers, open sirclip use a mallet on the back edge of the cv joint, hit it till it release's off the splines, re-fit new gator then re-fit cv joint onto splines, use mallet to knock back on to shaft untill sirclip clips back into the groove, then re-fit suspension the way you removed it, job done
