ford puma power steering rack change ?

how do i change the power steering rack on my ford puma i have removed the pinch bolt at the bottom of the colum the drivers side mounting bolt but can't get the nearside bolt out as it fouls the gearbox

you could chop the head off the bolt and put a new one in the other way round ?
