A quick update as nobody has been able to answer the question and I know others need an answer!
I managed to change the drivers headlight by removing the two bolts on the headlight itself. This allows the headlight to be pulled forward. Also, unclipped the air filter (just the top) which allowed enough room to get my hands into (I did not need to remove the sidelight as others have suggested). Next give the bulb holder a twist anticlockwise which allows the holder to be pulled out. With a bit of wiggling with one hand and pulling the headlight unit forward with the other I managed to get the bulb and holder out. Pull bulb out and replace with new one (DO NOT touch the glass on the bulb as this can lead to premature light failure). Then reverse the steps: wiggle bulb and holder back into headlight (remember that you have to line the lugs up so you should put the holder back after the 'twist') and then twist clockwise to lock into place. Reclip the air filter box and remember to put the bolts in the headlight unit. Job done! Good Luck!! Hope this helps someone else.
