Most tumble driers have two safety cut-out devices in the heater circuit to protect against over heating. One of these resets itself when it cools down again. The other is either a one-shot device - needs to be replaced- or needs a manual reset. If you can, check for a panel at the back over the heating elements. (disconnect power of course for safety). Look for a small red button on one of the thermal cut-outs. If there is one press it - should click. Try that. If there is not one it is likely to be one that needs to replaced. See dealer / repair centre for spares - usually sold as a set possibly with new heater. Could be £50+
