Harley 1984 Harley FSXt Won't start?

Why do you suspect the coil? was the bike wet? did you remove the fuel pipe from the carb to see fuel flowing out? assuming no-one's messed with your bike, did you test the coil primary & secondary windings with a meter? not sure what your figures should be but for example on earlier iron head Harleys the primary resistance figure is 4.7-5.7 ohms & the secondary resistance 16-20 kilo ohms.
