my pc boots up and then reboots all on its own?

i have a dell dimension xps1000r desk top and it will boot up and then reboot all on its own

How far along are you with the booting process?
Have you overclocked your system recently?
Do you have any reason to believe any of your hardware is getting a little over-hot, has any 'techy' touched your computer recently?

At what point does the PC reboot? Is it always the same point? does it only happen after heavy loads? Have you recently changed/installed anything?
