If the pressure goes up far when the central heating is on then the expansion vessel needs recharging. If it has been flat for long enough the regular overpressure valve operation could result in a drip. You can repressurise the expansion vessel yourself, or get a gas man to do it. Connect a car tyre type pump to the valve on the top of the big red vessel behind the boiler at the top. release all system pressure by twisting the red overflow valve top, pump up the air pressure till you get 12 psi or so on the air pressure guage >>WHILE KEEPING 0 PRESSURE ON THE FRONT PANEL GAUGE
