Wharfedale ICS182 simply doesnt swith on?

I was wondering whether u can help me fix my car stereo.

I turned ignition off, after a couple of hours went back, turned my car on. Although the radio worked without the ignition being on anyway.

The stereo didnt work at all, i checked the fuse, its ok.
There is a red light that should flash if the power is going thru the radio, its not blinking.
So what is the first component inside the radio that the power goes to, then i can replace the component. As my radio is no longer under guarantee, and at the time cost me a lot of money.
All the wiring is ok, cos i put the old radio in and everything worked.
But obviously it isnt quite as good as my wharfdale.
