We pulled out the crumb tray, turned the toaster upside down and gave it a few taps to dislodge any crumbs.
Bingo! That fixed it!

I have the same problem,so far managed to get inside to have a look.We are still investigating,will come back if we are sucessful in finding what the the problem is.
