wots wrong with my tv?

hi there i have a 50 inch lg plasma. 2years old. wen i try to switch it on stand by light red stays on and just a clicking noise from stand by light and justs keeps clicking from green light to red light?? but evetuley tv comes on? wot could it be? thanks
