How can I fix my sunbeam model 3027 iron?

Approximately two weeks ago, I dropped my iron and it continued to work. My iron was working fine on Thursday night. On Saturday night, however, my iron did not heat up. I did not wrap the cord too tightly nor did I yank the cord from my power strip. What should I do? I am a college student, and I am trying to save money. I do not want to buy another iron. My iron is a sunbeam model 3027 Classic Iron.
